When 1UP FM co-host Nick Suttner and I shambled into work today, barely functioning after a Thanksgiving weekend overstuffed with food, we didn't expect to immediately be confronted by the living undead. Such are the risks we brave every day for you when entering the haunted grounds of 1UP Manor. We pushed through the brain-devouring hordes to bring you this week's interview with Mike Schmitt, the product manager House of the Dead: Overkill, the light-gun franchise reboot for the Wii.

A UK Daily Mail online report puts Eidos parent company SCi Entertainment actively out on the sale block again. Though no specifics are given, it says that the company has received preliminary inquiries from Electronic Arts and Ubisoft. Both companies have been the subject of rumors surrounding the potential sale of SCi since the ouster of its former CEO and founder Jane Cavanagh in January of this year. Her replacement, Phil Rogers, came over from Electronic Arts where he had been Vice-President of Corporate Development in February of 2007.

Square Enix announced Monday that the Wii and DS-bridging Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time will arrive on North American shelves in "Spring 2009." While that's not quite as specific as we'd hoped, it's better than the previous release date of simply "sometime in 2009."
